Kat Dennings was born on June 13, 1986, in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and was given the name Katherine Victoria Litwack. Ellen Dennings, her mother. Ellen worked as a poetry and speech therapy therapist. Gerald Dennings works as a molecular druggist as well as a professor at a university. Dennings is the youngest of five kids and was brought up in an all-Jewish household. Dennings attended homeschooling, but attended school briefly. As she began acting at the age of nine, she discovered that homeschooling was the ideal option. She had already begun performing in commercials by the age of nine. To pursue her acting profession, Kat Dennings relocated together with her family members to Los Angeles when she finished high-school. Kat Dennings, as she was then known, began auditioning. Kat Dennings first made an appearance in the HBO series "Sex and the City", in 2000, following her move to LA. In 2000, Kat Dennings starred in "Sex and the City" on HBO.
